Resilience. Never giving up and cultivating the strength to forge forward in the toughest of times, the rhino’s strength and power can be felt in the ground even when walking. Seemingly dominant it is accompanied by the smallest of birds; the sentinel, hovering around and feeding off the rhino while warning it of impending danger. A symbiotic relationship, each wonderfully reliant on the other.
This a reminder of how unity can only come when there is better communication and mutual understanding of the needs of others in society.
Started in acrylic and completed in oils to add depth to the image this piece includes marks, words, stencils and texture.
